Mac drive replacements

A 'storage' window on a Mac computer showing that its hard drive is full Does this look familiar? Or are you finding your Mac is a lot slower than usual? Well, we can help you out. We can fit new, larger, and faster drives in almost every Mac laptop prior to 2016 and almost every Mac desktop, be it an iMac, Mac mini or Mac Pro tower. The speed benefits can be huge — the difference between a mechanical hard drive and a solid-state (SSD) can be five to ten times the speed of your original drive, and even more in some cases.

Anything from a 500GB or 2TB capacity drive, all the way up to 10TB might be possible depending on your precise model. Want to know for sure? Get in touch and we can let you know all your options.

Larger and faster SSD drives, and Fusion drive upgrades

If your MacBook Air or MacBook Pro came with an SSD that's too small, or you'd like it to be faster, there's a good chance we can upgrade it. We can even replace the Fusion Drive in iMacs with a single SSD of any size up to 2TB. If you're curious, just drop us a line and we can discuss the specifics of your Mac.

Memory (RAM) upgrades

An illustration of an iPod with a warning symbol and an unhappy face on the screen If you work with a lot of high-end apps for graphic design, video editing or mathematical modelling, you may find extra RAM speeds up your work significantly. Almost all desktop Macs (such as the iMac, Mac Pro and Mac mini) can be upgraded with as much as 128GB of RAM. Also, you may think your Mac has as much RAM as possible, but Apple's official documentation in many cases lists maximum RAM sizes half of the true capabilities of your Mac. So if in any doubt at all, please don't hesitate to ask us.

iPod upgrades

The solution? We can fit a new drive in it (anything from 120GB all the way to 1TB if desired). If it needs a new battery at the same time, we can take care of that too.
